Grand Ole Opry

If you’re a country music fan, at least once in your life, you’ve thought of going to Nashville, Tennessee to see the Grand Ole Opry. I’ve been lucky enough to have paid a visit many times. Each time, wishing I had more time to drink up and absorb the history in that city of legends.

Walk the Broadway of old. See old Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop. Or Nudie’s suits for the stars. Or Little Roy Wiggins Steel Guitar Shop. Or Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge - just behind the Grand Ole Opry itself at the old Ryman Auditorium.

Take a tour of the old Ryman. And if you close your eyes, you can almost hear some of those concerts of yester year. Hank Williams. Wouldn’t you have just loved to be in the audience to hear him?

Take a strolldown memory lane from our scrapbook of visits. This first batch is from March 23 & 24, 1978.
