One of the mainstays of the Grand Ole Opry - Hank Snow, the Singing Ranger. He started off imitating a yodeling singer named Jimmie Rodgers. Later
on, you could feel that a part of that early influence was still in his style.
He hit it biggest with I’m Movin’ On that stayed on top of the country charts for many a month. His distinctive acoustic sound, along with a bit of a hawaiian guitar sound in the
background from Kayton Roberts was easy to like. Songs like The Golden Rocket, 90 Miles An Hour Down a Dead End Street, Bluebird Island, The Rhumba Boogie, The Only Rose, Nobody’s Child
and even later in his career, Hello Love were just some of the many you would instantly recognize when he sang them.
An accomplished guitar player, he even recorded a couple of duet albums with Mr. Guitar himself, Chet Atkins.
